A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
FOR CONTRACT SERVICES WITH F&~ILY
SERVICE OF SANTA MONICA.
WHEREAS, Famlly Serv~ce of Santa Mon~ca provides
asslstance to the commun~ty by worklng with the Juvenile
bureau of the Santa Mon~ca Pollce Department, by aidlng
Santa Monlca residents ln the procuring of food, lodglng,
transportatlon and medical attentlon, by providing parent
effectlveness training, ~nfant and mothers seminars, slngle
parent programs and other human serVlce programs, assisting
families and chlldren referred to lt by other community
agencles, asslstlng the senlor c~tlzens of Santa Monlca, and
ass~st~ng chlldren and their fam~lies ~n connect~on w~th
communlty schools; and,
\~EREAS, the Clty cannot prov~de these services
without substantial expenditures.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the contract between the Clty of
Santa Monlca and Family SerVlce of Santa Monica for the
providing of serVlces by sald Family Serv~ce of Santa Monlca
and the fundlng of such services by the City be and lS hereby
approved, and the Clty Manager ~s authorlzed to execute sald
contract on behalf of the Clty of Santa Monlca.

SECTION 2. That C2ty Clerk shall certlfy to the
adoptlon of thlS resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be ln full force and effect.
