A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
ESTABLISHING PERMIT FEES, DESIG-
NATED AREAS AND EXEMPT PERIODS
FOR NIGHT TIME PARKING IN BEACH
PARKING LOTS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to sect~on 3201A of the Santa
Monlca Munlcipal Code, the Dlrector of Recreatlon and Parks
lS hereby authorlzed to lssue permits for resldent or guest
parking between the hours of 10:00 o'clock p.m. and 6:00 o'clock
a.m. of the next succeedlng day, subject to the following
cond~tions:
a. Perm~ts may be issued quarterly;
b. Permits may be val~d for a period of up
to one (1) year;
c. A fee may be charged of up to F~ve ($5.00)
Dollars per month per perm~t;
d. Any resident of the City who res~des ln the
area bounded on the north by the north city limits, on the south
by the south city limits and west of Pacific Coast Highway, Ocean
Avenue or Neilson Way lS eligible to apply for elther a resldent
or guest parking perm~t for the beach parklng lots. Any person
who does not res~de with~n sald area shall not be eligible for
the issuance of a resldent or guest parklng permlt.
e. A perm~t shall not be requ~red to park in
the beach parklng lots durlng grunlon runnlng season, as determined
by published schedules, nor at such other times as speclal events

SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall cert~fy to the
