A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SN~TA MONICA
ESTABLISHING SALARIES AND BENEFITS
FOR CERTAIN DEPART~lliNT HEADS ili~D
STAFF.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Resolut~on NO. 4637 ~s
hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 1. Section 3 of Resolut1on 3750B is
hereby amended and each step of the salary range for each of
the following 1S hereby increased by 5% of the hlghest
monthly salary pald therefor during fiscal year 1975-1976:
Assistant Clty Manager, Build1ng Off1cer, D1rector of General
Services, C1tyEngineer, City Librarian, D1rector of Adminis-
tratlve Servlces, Director of the C1vic Auditorium, Director
of Environmental Serv1ces, D1rector of FinancejClty Controller,
D1rector of the Municipal Airport, Director of Planning,
Dlrector of Recreation and Parks, Dlrector of Transportat~on,
F1re ehlef, Police Ch1ef. Sa1d 1ncrease shall be effect1ve
as of July 1, 1976.
SECTION 2. That the sum of Ten Thousand ($10,000)
Dollars shall be and hereby is establ1shed as a fund for use by
the City Manager to provide mer1t incentive for members of his
staff.
SECTION 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized
to dlstrlbute any part of, or all of said Ten Thousand
($10,000) Dollars to anyone or more members of h1S staff who,

1n hlS d1scretlon, have performed 1n a manner deserving of
recognition through a merit bonus.
SECTION 4. That the City shall pay on behalf of
each of sald employees an addltlonal sum of Eight Dollars and
Nlnety One Cents ($8.91) for appllcat10n to health 1nsurance
benef1ts.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certlfy to the
adopt1on of th1S resolut1on, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be 1n full force and effect.
