A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SA...~TA HONICA APPROVING AND RATIFYING A MEMORANDUM
OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE SANTA MONICA POLICE
OFFICERS ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, Section 2106 of Ordinance 801 ceSS) of the City of
Santa Monica requires the preparation of a written Memorandum of
Understanding between the administration and recognized employee
organizations, if an agreement C~L be reached; and
WHEREAS, Section 2.06 of Ordinance 801 (CCS) of the City of
Santa Monica further provides that any such Memorandum of
Understanding shall not be binding and shall be presented to the
governing body for determinations,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF S.ti..NTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS.
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby approve and authorize
the City Manager to execute a Memorandum of Understanding between
the City of Santa Monica and the representatives of the Santa Monica
Police Officers Association, a copy of which is attached hereto.
SECTION 2. That City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
the resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
