RESOLUTION NO. 4794 (CSS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AUTHORIZING ACCESS TO STATE SUMMARY CRIMINAL HISTORY INFORMATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
The City Manager, Assistant City Manager, City Attorney,
Police Chief, Personnel Director, and each appointing authority
of the City are authorized to have access to any criminal
offender record information including, but not limited to,
state summary criminal history information from the California
Department of Justice, as part of the investigation of any
applicant for any employment with the City of Santa Monica.
Said information shall be authorized to discover whether any
applicant has been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor
involving moral turpitude or disgraceful conduct as described
in section 2l03B (e) of the Santa Monica Municipal Code.
