WHEREAS, Proposition U was submitted to the voters of the City of Santa Monica at the regular general election __cr" _ y of November 2, 1976; and, WHEREAS, ~he total number of votes cast for and aga1nst said~proposit1on has been calculated and cert1f1ed to by Leonard Panish, Registrar-Recorder of the County of Los Angeles', NOW, THEREFORE, the C1ty Council of the City of Santa Monica does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That the vote total, as certlfled to by Leonard Pan1sh, Registrar-Recorder of the County of ;,.~ _-....;-~ :r Los Angeles, shall be and lS hereby approved and adopted as the formal vote count regarding Proposition U by the City of Santa Monica. SECTION 2. That said vote count is 21,148 in favor of Proposit~on U, and 17,754 opposed to Propos1tlon U. SECTION 3. The City Clerk s~ll certify to the adoption qf this resolution, and thenceforth 'and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
