A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF '!'HE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING PlANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
1964 STORM DRAIN BOND ISSUE PROJECTS 736
UNIT III AND 7403 UNIT II, AND 1970 STORM
DRAIN BOND ISSuE PROJECT NO. 7450, UNIT I,
AND GRANTING THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD
CONTROL DISTRICT THE RIGHT TO OCCUpy AND
USE STREETS IN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA.
WHEREAS, on June 29, 1971, the Los Angeles County
Flood Control District, a body corporate and politic, and the
City of Santa Monica, a Municipal Corporation, entered into
Agreement No. 1971 (City Council Series), a copy of which is
on file in the office of the City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, on April 14, 1959, the Los Angeles County
Flood Control District, a body corporate and politic, and the
City of Santa Monica, a Municipal Corporation, entered into
Agreement No. 1153 (City Council Series) a copy of which is on
file in the office of the City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said Agreement Nos. 1153 and
1971, the City Engineer of the City of Santa Monica has prepared
the uPlans and Specifica.tions for the Construction of Project
736, Unit III, Line D, Project 7403, Unit II, Line D, 1964 Storm
Drain Bond Issue, and Project No. 7451 Santa. Monica, Unit I,
Line A, 1970 Storm Drain Bond Issue, in the City of Santa Monica,
California II, a copy of which is attached hereto, and
WHEREAS, on February 1, 1977, Mr. A. E. Bruington, Chief
Engineer of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District,
requested that the City Council of the City of Santa Monica
approve the attached plans and specifications and authorize the
Los Angeles County Flood Control District to proceed with the
construction described therein and that the City of Santa Monica
grant permission to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District

to occupy and use the public streets of the City of Santa
Monica to operate and maintain said storm drain installations
upon their completion.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN'!'A
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The "Plans and Specifications for the
Construction of Project No. 736, Santa Monica, Unit 3, Line D,
and Santa Monica Project No. 7403, Unit 2, Line D, 1964 storm
Drain Bond Issue, and prOject No. 7450 Santa Monica, Unit I,
Line A, 1970 Storm Drain Bond Issue, in the City of Santa
Monica, California", a copy of which is attached hereto, are
approved.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Santa
Monica does authorize the Los Angeles County Flood Control
District to proceed with the construction described in the
attached "Specifications for the Construction of' Project No. 736,
Santa Monica, Unit 3, Line D, and Santa Monica Project No. 7403,
Unit 2, Line D, 1964 storm Drain Bond Issue, and Project No. 7450
Santa Monica, Unit 1, Line A, 1970 Storm Drain Bond Issue, in
the City of' Santa Monica, California.".
SECTION 3. The City of Santa Monica does grant the
Los Angeles County Flood Control District permission to occupy
and use the public streets of the City of Santa Monica to operate
and maintain the storm drain installations described in the
"Specifications for the Construction of Project No. 736, Santa
Monica, Unit 3, Line D, and Santa Monica Project No. 7403,
Unit 2, Line D, 1964 Storm Drain Bond Issue, and Project No. 7450
Santa Monica, Unit 1, Line A, 1970 Storm Drain Bond Issue, in the
City of Santa Monica, California II.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adop-
tion of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
