RESOLUTION NO. 4842(CCS)

RESOLUTION OF THE CfTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AUTHORIZING THE FILfNG OF A THIRD YEAR APPLICATION FOR
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS UNDER THE HOUSING
AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Monica held public
hearings on February 8, 1977 and February 22, 1977 to determine community
development and housing needs; and
WHEREAS, a survey of housing conditions was conducted in the City of
Santa Monica; and
WHEREAS, a Citizen Participation Plan was developed to provide
citizens with adequate information concerning the amount of funds available
for proposed community development and housing activities, the range of activities
that may be undertaken and other important requirements; and
WHEREAS, citizens were provided an adequate opportunity to participate
in the development of the application and in the development of any revisions,
changes or amendments; and
WHEREAS, on February 22, 1977 the City Council unanimously approved a
draft application for submission to the Southern California Association of
GOVernments in compliance with OMB Circular A-95 clearinghouse requirements
and approval of certifications required with the application.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS-
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Santa Monica possesses
legal authority to apply for the grant and to execute the proposed program.
Section 2. T~at the Cfty Council authorizes the filing of the appli-
cation, including all understandings and assurances contained therein.
Section 3. That the City Council designate the City Manager as the
authorized representative of the City of Santa Monica to act in connection with
the application and to provide such additional information as may be required.
