RESOLUTION NO. 4845(CCS)
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA DECLARING THAT
DEDICATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF A TURN-
AROUND IS NOT NECESSARY FORPICO PLACE
NORTH BETWEEN APPIAN WAY AND OCEAN AVENUE.
WHEREAS~ on October 26~ 1976~ by Resolution No. 4806
(City Council Series)~ the City Council o~ the City of Santa
Monica vacated Pico Place North between Ocean Avenue and the
northwesterly prolongation of the southwesterly line of Lot 4,
Tract No. 1111 in the City of Santa Monica~ County of Los
An~les~ state of Cali~ornia, recorded in Book 17~ Pages
154-155 of Official Records in the office of the Recorder of
said County~ which resolution contained a provision therein
that a turnaround area be dedicated and constructed by the
owner of the abutting property to the satisfaction of the
City Engineer.
WHEREAS, the City sta~f has determined that the
dedication and construction of a turnaround is not necessary,
due to an alternate solution, in accordance with material
filed in the Of~ice of the City Engineer, which accomplishes
the purposes ~or which the turnaround was required.
NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City staf~ having found that no
turnaround is necessary, tbe above provision is met and
satisfied.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
