A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COu~CIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING
THE FILING OF A REAPPLICATION WITH
THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE ON AGING FOR A
NUTRITION PROGRAl1 FOR THE ELDERLY
UNDER TITLE VII OF THE OLDER AMERIC&~S
ACT OF 1965, AS A~mNDED.
WHEREAS, the Clty of Santa Monica has been lnvited
to submit an appllcatlon for a nutrition program for the
elderly by the California Offlce on Aglng; and
WHEREAS, the Clty of Santa Monica lS el~glble to
receive funds under the Older Amer~cans Act for the establlsh-
ment of a nutrit10n program for the elderly.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA VI0NICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLm>'JS:
SECT ION I.
That the Clty Manager ~s hereby
authorlzed to flle an applicat10n and to execute any contracts
related thereto, on behalf of the City oE Santa r~onica "ll th
the Callfornla Office on Aging for One Hundred Twelve Thousand
SlX Hundred Flfty-Two (~112,652) Dollars to be used for a
nutritlon program for the elderly and located at three (3)
Clty park cltes.
SECTION 2.
The Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the
adoption of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be 1n full force and effect.
