A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
RATIFYING THE COMPROMISE OF CLAIMS
FOR THE CITY'S PUBLIC LIABILITY
CHECKS ISSUED IN MAY, 1977
WHEREAS, on December 14, 1976, the CITY OF SANTA
MONICA entered into an agreement, being Contract No. 2289
(CCS) with the Brown Brothers AdJusters to adJust; (1) Liability
under the PublLc Liabllity Act of 1923; (2) Its liabLlity
for the municLpa1 bus lines; and (3) Its liabLlity for its
automotive fleet excluding Lts municipal bus 11nes; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the author2ty contalned In
the foregolng contract, the Brown Brothers Adjusters have
effected settlements in the amounts shown.

That the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of this resolut1on, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.~
