A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING
THE HOLDING OF A PARADE ON JULY 16,
1977, ON A ROUTE OTHER THEN THE
OFFICIAL CITY ROUTE.
'.fHEREAS, pu:;:'suant to Section 4241 of the Santa
Mon~ca Mun~clpal Code, t~e Clty Councl1 may authorize a parade
route different from the official City parade route set forth
thereln; and,
WHBREAS, good cause has been shown for the authorlzation
of such a parade route on July 16, 1977.
~ON, THZI~FORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
T~at on July 16, 1977, between tDe
hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 ?m., ~articipants from Gold's
Gym, re?resented by Mr. Ken Sprague, may and are hereby
authorlzed to conduct a parade along the following route:
It wl1l commence at the regular
parade route slte on Ocean Avenue
and California and will travel
southbound on Ocean Avenue to
Colorado Avenue. Once on Colorado
Avenue the parade wl1l proceed
eastbound to Maln Street where it
will take a right turn and proceed
south on Ma~n Street past City Hall
~nto the C1Vll Auditorium parklng lot
where ~t w~ll term~nate.
SECTION 2.
Tne C~ty Clerk shall cert1IY to the
adopt~on of this resolut~on and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be ~n full force and effect.
