A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING
THE BOLDING OF A PARADE ON AUGUST 14,
1977, ON A ROUTE OTHER THAN THE OFFICIAL
CITY ROUTE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Sectlon 4241 of the Santa
Monlca Municipal Code, the City Councll may authorlze a
parade route dlfferent from the official City parade route
set forth thereln; and,
WHEREAS, good cause has been shown for the authorlzatlon
of such a parade route on August 14, 1977.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That on August 1, 1977, between the
hours of 12:00 o'clock noon and 1:30 p.m., participants
In the ISKCON (International Soclety for Krlshna Consclousness,
Inc.) may and are hereby authorlzed to conduct a parade along
the following route:
The parade wll1 start ln Santa Monlca
and end at the Venlce Pavillion. The
parade would run along the Beach Bikepath
from Bay Street (In Santa Monlea) to the
Venlce Pavllllon.
SECTION 2.
The C~ty Clerk shall certify to the
adoptlon of thlS resolution and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be ln full force and effect.
