RATIFYING THE COMPROMISE OF CLAIMS
FOR THE CITY'S PUBLIC LIABILITY
CHECKS ISSUED IN JULY, 1977
WHEREAS, on December 14, 1976, the CITY OF SANTA
MONICA entered lnto an agreement, belng Contract No. 2289
(CCS) wlth the Brown Brothers AdJusters to adjust~ (1)
Liabillty under the Pub11C Liabl11ty Act of 1923; (2) Its
l1ablllty for the munlcipal bus llnes, and (3) Its 11abl1ity
for its automotlve fleet exc1udlng lts municipal bus I1nesi and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the authorlty contalned In the
foregoing contract, the Brown Brothers Adjusters have effected
settlements In the amounts shown.
