RESOLUTION NO. 4915
RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF HR 7264 fu~D
SB 1906 REGARDING CREATION OF CHANNEL
ISLANDS AND SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS
NATIONAL PARK AND SEASHORE
WHEREAS, HR 7264 was ~ntroduced in the House of
Representat~ves on I~y 18, 1977 to establish Channel Islands
and Santa Monica Mountains Nat~onal Park and Seashore ~n
the State of Cal~fornia, and for other purposes; and,
WHEREAS, HR 7264 was referred to the committee on
Inter~or and Insular Affa~rs for a hearing on September 1,
1977; and,
WHEREAS, SE 19Q6 1S presently under conS1derat1on
before the Senate.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Santa Mon1ca does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1.
That the City Counc~l of the City
of Santa Monica does hereby declare its support of HR 7264
and SB 1906 by adopt~on of Resolut10n 4915 (CCS).
SECTION 2.
That the City Clerk 15 d~rected to
forward a copy of this resolut~on to the appropriate members
of the legislature of the state of California.
SECTION 3.
The C~ty Clerk shall certify to the
adopt10n of th1s resolut~on, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be ~n full force and effect.
