RESOLUTION NO. 4926(CCS)
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA ORDERING THE PLANTING OF TREES ALONG
lINCOLN BOULEVARD BETWEEN THE SANTA MONICA FREEWAY
AND PICO BOULEVARD IN ACCORDANCE WITH RESOLUTION OF
INTENTION 4914 (CITY COUNCIL SERIES).
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Monica, on the
23rd day of August. 1977, passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention,
being Resolution No. 4914 (City Council Series), to order the work
described therein to be done, which in accordance with said Resolution of
Intention duly and legally notices were posted along the line of the proposed
project and written notices of said improvement have been glven in the
manner required by law and any and all wrltten objections and protests to
the proposed work or the extent of the district to be assessed were heard
and considered by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOllOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public interest requires, and the City Council
of the City of Santa Monica hereby orders, the tree planting described in
said Resolution of Intention to be done along Lincoln Boulevard between the
Santa Monica Freeway and Pica Boulevard within the City of Santa Monica.
That all of said protests and objections of every kind and nature to the
proposed work or to the extent of the dlstrlct to be assessed be and the
same hereby are overruled and denied.
SECTION 2. The Street Superintendent hereby is directed to commence
the tree planting above described after a sixty (60) day period wherever the
property owners have not started the tree planting project themselves.

Wherever said improvements were installed by the Street Superlntendent,
he shall prepare a Report of Cost therefor, as prescribed by law.
SECTION 3. Reference hereby is made to said Resolution of
Intention for a description of the work. the assessment district, and
for further particulars.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
