RESOLUTION NO. 4927 (CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING
THE HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM FUNDED THROUGH
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS WITH FIRST
FEDERAL SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION or SANTA MONICA TO
SERVICE THE PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the proposed Housing Rehabilitation Program responds to goals
and objectives raised in the City's Housing Element; and,
WHEREAS, monies have been set aside from Community Development Block
Grant funds for the express purpose of housing rehabilitation; and,
WHEREAS, facilitating home improvement and neighborhood preservation is
in the community interest; and,
WHEREAS, the Housing Commission has proposed a comprehensive rehabilitation
program.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Housing Rehabilitation Program as submitted by City
staff and recommended by the Housing Commission is approved for implementation.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager is authorized to execute the Deposit
Agreement and the Underwriting and Processing Agreement with First Federal Savings
and loan Association of Santa Monica which establishes said institution as servicing
agent for the Rehabilitation Program.

SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect.
