A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA COMHENDING
AND EXPRESSING ITS APPRECIATION TO THE
WESTS IDE ECU~illNICAL COUNCIL FOR
ARRfu~GING FOR CLERGY FOR THE INVOCATION
BEFORE CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS.
WHEREAS, as an integral part of its agenda, meet1ngs
of the City Counc~l are preceded by ~nvocat~on conducted by
clergy of the Var10US faiths; and,
WHEREAS, the Westside Ecumenical Council has arranged
to have a representative of the var~ous fa1ths present for
each Counc1l Meeting,
NOW, THEREFORE, the C1ty Counc~l of the C1ty of
Santa Mon1ca does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1.
That the Westside Ecumen1cal Council
lS hereby commended, and the City Council of the City of Santa
Monica hereby expresses ~ts appreciation, for the arrang1ng
of an invocat1on by members of the clergy before the conduct
of bus1ness at each of its meetings.
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall cert~fy to the
adopt~on of this resolut~on, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be 1n full force and effect.
