RESOLUTION NO. 4932 (CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING
THE FILING OF A SUPPLEMENTAL APPLI-
CATION WITH THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE ON
AGING FOR A NUTRITION PROGRAM FOR THE
ELDERLY UNDER TITLE VII OF THE OLDER
M1ERICANS ACT OF 1965, AS AMENDED.
vffiEREAS, the City of Santa Monica has been invited
to submit a supplemental application for a nutrition program for
the elderly by the California Office on Aging; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica is eligible to receive
funds under the Older Americans Act for the establishment of a
nutrition program for the elderly.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS.
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized
to file a supplemental application and to execute any contracts
related thereto, on behalf of the City of Santa Monica with the
California Office on Aging for Twenve Thousand One Hundred and
Fifty nine Dollars ($12,159) to be used to increase the number of
meals served per day in the nutrition program for the elderly
located at three (3) City park sites.
SECTION 2. The C~ty Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
