A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
RATIFYING THE COMPROMISE OF
CLAIMS FOR THE CITY'S PUBLIC
LIABILITY CHECKS ISSUED IN
SEPTEMBER, 1977
WHEREAS, on December 14, 1976, the CITY OF SANTA
MONICA entered 1nto an agreement, be~ng Contract No. 2289
(CCS) with the Brown Brothers AdJusters to adJust; (1)
L~abi1ity under the Publ~c L~abi1ity Act of 1923; (2) Its
l~abil~ty for the munic~pal bus l~nesi and (3) Its 1iab11ity
for its automot1ve fleet exclud1ng its munic1pal bus lines;
and
IiHEREAS, pursuant to the author~ty contained ~n the
forego~ng contract, the Brown Brothers Adjusters have effected
settlements in the amounts shown.

That the Clty Clerk shall certify
to the adoptlon of this resolut1on, and thenceforth and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
