RESOLUTION NO. 4944

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF 1952 STORM DRAIN BOND ISSUE
PROJECT NO. 46 AND GRANTING THE LOS ANGELES
COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT THE RIGHT TO
OCCUpy AND USE STREETS IN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA.
WHEREAS, on August 29, 1977, K. W. Kummerfeld, Division
Engineer of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, requested
that the City Council of the City of Santa Monica approve the attached
plans and specifications and authorize the Los Angeles County Flood
Control District to proceed wlth the construction described therein
and that the City of Santa Monica grant permisslon to the Los Angeles
County Flood Control District to occupy and use the public streets of
the City of Santa Monica to operate and maintain said storm drain
installations upon their completion.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The "Specifications for the Construction of Ocean
Outlet Modifications for the 1952 Storm Drain Bond Issue Project No. 46,
Lincoln Blvd. -- Indiana Avenue Drain, in the Cities of Los Angeles
and Santa t-ionica, California," are approved.

SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica
does authorize the Los Angeles County Flood Control District to proceed
with the construction described in the attached "Specifications for
the Construction of Ocean Outlet Modifications for the 1952 Storm Drain
Bond Issue Project No. 46, Lincoln Blvd. -- Indiana Avenue Drain, in
the Cities of Los Angeles and Santa 1'1onica, California."
SECTION 3. The City of Santa Monica does grant the Los
Angeles County Flood Control District permission to occupy and use the
public streets of the City of Santa Monica to operate and maintain
the storm drain installatlons described in the "Specifications for
the Construction of Ocean Outlet Modifications for 1952 Storm Drain
Bond Issue ProJect No. 46, Lincoln Blvd. -- Indiana Avenue Drain, in
the Cities of Los Angeles and Santa Monica, California."
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.
