A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
RATIFYING THE COMPROMISE OF
CLAIMS FOR THE CITY'S PUBLIC
LIABILITY CHECKS ISSUED IN
OCTOBER, 1977.
WHEREAS, on December 14, 1976, the CITY OF SANTA
MONICA entered into an agreement, be~ng Contract No. 2289
(CCS) w~th the Brown Brothers AdJusters to adJust; (1)
Liab~11ty under the PublLc Liab~lity Act of 1923; (2) Its
l~ab~lity for the mUTI1Clpal bus l~nes; and (3) Its 11ab~lity
for its automot~ve fleet exc1ud~ng lts mun~cipal bus l~nes;
and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority contalned in
the forego1ng contract, the Brown Brothers Adjusters have
effected settlements in the amounts shown.

That the settle~nt of claims in
the amounts heretofore shown- is hereby ratified.
SECTION 2.
That ehe City Cle~k shall certify
to the adoption of this resolution, and thenceforth and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
