A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
RATIFYING THE COMPROMISE OF
CLAIMS FOR THE CITY'S PUBLIC
LIABILITY CHECKS ISSUED IN
NOVEMBER, 1977.
WHEREAS, on December 14, 1976, the CITY OF SANTA
MONICA entered ~nto an agreement, being Contract No. 2289
(CCS) w~th the Brown Brothers Adjusters to adJust: (1)
L~ab~llty under the Public Liabll1ty Act of 1923: (2) Its
l1abl11ty for the mun1cipa1 bus llnes: and (3) Its l1ab111ty
and,
for lts automotive fleet exclud~ng ~ts munlc~pa1 bus l~nes:
WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority contalned in
the forego1ng contract, the Brown Brothers AdJusters have
effected settlements 1n the amounts shown.
