RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
APPROVING THE APP~ICATION FOR 1976 STATE GRANT MONEYS
MUNICIPAL AIRPORT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the people of the State of Cal1forn~a
have enacted the State, Urban and Coastal Park Bond Act of
1976, Wh1Ch prov~des funds to the State of California and its
pol1tical subd~v~sions for acquir~ng lands and for deve1op-
~ng faci11t1es for publ~c recreation and histor~cal purposes,
and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and
Recreation has been delegated the responsib~11ty for the
administration of the program withln the state, setting
up necessary procedures govern1ng application by local agencies
under the program, and
WHEREAS, sa~d procedures established by the State
Department of Parks and Recreat~on requ1re the applicant
to cert~fy by resolution the approval of applications prior
to submiss10n of said applications to the state: and
WHEREAS, said applications contain assurances that
the applicant must comply wlth: and
WHEREAS, the appllcant agency will enter into an
agreement with the State of Ca1iforn~a for the acquisit~on
and/or development of the project;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City
Council hereby:
1. Approves the fil~ng of an application for
1976 state grant assistance. and
2. Certifies ~h~t'said agency understands the
assurances in the application; and
3. Certifies that said agency has or will have
,
suff~cient funds to operate and maintain the project. and
4. _Certifies th~t said agency has ~eviewed and
und~as the General'Er9X~$ion5 ~opta~ned in the sample
statellopal agreement. and

5. AppOlntS the City Manager as agent; of the
~
City to conduct all negotiations, 'execute and submit all
documents including but not l~mtted to appl~cations, agree-
ments, amendments, payment requests, 'and so on which may
be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned
project.
6. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be in full farce and effect.
