A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING
AND RATIFYING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDER-
STANDING WITH SA1~TA MONICA POLICE
OFFICERS ASSOCIATION.
WHEREAS, Section 2106 of Ord1nance 801 (CCS) of
the City of Santa Monica requires the preparation of a
wrltten Memorandum of Understand~ng between the adm~nis-
tration and recognized employee organ1zat~ons, if an
agreement can be reached; and,
WHEREAS, Section 2.06 of Ordinance 801 (CCS) of
the C~ty of Santa Monica further provides that any such
Memorandum of Understand1ng shall not be binding and shall
be presenteq to the governing body for deter~nat~on,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
The City Counc11 does hereby approve,
ratify and author1ze the City Manager to execute that certain
Memorandum of Understandlng between the City of Santa Mon1ca
and the representatives of the Santa Monica Police Officers
Association, for fiscal years 1977-1978 and 1978-1979,
a copy of wh1ch 1S attached hereto.
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the
adopt1on of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter

the same shall be ~n full force and effect.
