R-4964 (2) ;> i - RESOLUTION 4964 (CCS) (City Council Series) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF A CERTAIN ALLEY KNOWN AS WILSHIRE PLACE NORTH FROM EIGHTEENTH STREET TO NINETEENTH STREET, AND A PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN ALLEY KNOWN AS EIGHTEENTH COURT BETWEEN WILSHIRE PLACE NORTH AND CALIFORNIA STREET, AND THE ABANDONMENT OF A CERTAIN EASEMENT LYING BETWEEN WILSHIRE PLACE NORTH AND WILSHIRE BOULEVARD IN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Santa Monica hereby declares its intention to order the vacation of all of that portion of WilShire Place North between Eighteenth Street and Nineteenth Street, and the vacation of that portion of Eighteenth Court adjacent to Wilshire Place North and extending 80 feet Northwesterly thereof, as shown on the map of Green Acres Block 9 as recorded in Map Book 9, Page 126, and Green Acres Replat No. Block 9 as recorded in Map Book 11, Page 3, in the Clty of Santa Monica, County of Los Angeles, State of California, and the abandon- ment of a four (4) foot sewer easement between Wilshire Place North and Wilshire Boulevard, being the Northeasterly two (2) feet of Lot 7 and the Southwesterly two (2) feet of Lot 8 of said Green Acres Block 9. For further particulars as to the proposed vacatlon and abandonment of the hereinbefore mentioned areas, reference is made respectively to Map No. 4243, dated December 1, 1977, and revised December 20, 1977, now on flle in the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall, Santa Monica, California. SECTION 2. The Clty Council of the City of Santa Monica, in vacating said portions of sald Wilshire Place North and Eighteenth Court and easement, hereby intends to make said vacation conditional on the relocation - . - of all sanitary sewers, water mains, and appurtenant structures now located within said alleys and easement. SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Santa Mon1ca further stipulates that the vacatlng of said portions of Wilshire Place North and Eighteenth Court and said easement is dependent on the dedication of property and the construction of that portion of Wilshire Place as indicated on said Map No. 4243. It therefore is ordered that said portions of said alleys be and the same hereby are vacated, and said easement be and the same hereby is abandoned; but at such time that the property on either side of the alley is separated from common ownership with the property on the other side of the alley, these alleys shall become a public way. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and the same shall be in full force and effect on and after January 10, 1978. The City Clerk shall also cause a copy of this resolution to be recorded 1n the office of the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles.
