RESOLUTION NO. 4965 CCCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA ORDERING THE PLANTING OF TREES ALONG LINCOLN
BOULEVARD BETWEEN BROADWAY AVENUE AND WILSHIRE BOULEVARD
IN ACCORDANCE WITH RESOLUTION OF INTENTION 4949
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES).
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Monica, on the
22nd day of November, 1977, passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention,
being Resolution No. 4949 (City Councll Series), to order the work
described thereln to be done, which ln accordance with sald Resolution of
Intention duly and legally notlces were posted along the llne of the
proposed project and written notlces of said improvement have been given
in the manner required by law and any and all written objections and
protests to the proposed work or the extent of the district to be assessed
were heard and considered by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public interest requires, and the City Council
of the City of Santa Monica hereby orders the tree planting described in
said Resolutlon of Intentlon to be done along Lincoln Boulevard between
Broadway Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard wlthin the City of Santa Monica.
That all of said protests and obJections of every kind and nature to the
proposed work or to the extent of the district to be assessed be and the
same hereby are overruled and denied.
SECTION 2. The Street Superintendent hereby is directed to
commence the tree planting above descrlbed after a sixty (60) day period
wherever the property owners have not started the tree planting proJect
themselves.

Wherever said improvements were installed by the Street
Superintendent, he shall prepare a Report of Cost therefor, as prescribed
by 1 aw.
SECTION 3. Reference hereby is made to said Resolution of
Intention for a description of the work, the assessment district, and
for further particulars.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full
force and effect.
