A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY OF THE PARKING AUTHORITY
TO THE CITY AND THE SUBSEQUENT
EXCHANGE OF SAID PROPERTY FOR CERTAIN
PRIVATELY OWNED PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, on January 10, 1978, tne C1ty Council
of the C1ty of Santa Mon1ca d~r~~~d t~~ p~eparat~on of
documents transferrin~ ownership of certain, property 'at-
Fourth Street and Broadway from the Parking Authority
of the City of Santa Monica to the City of Santa Monica,
and then effecting the exchange of said property for
Parcel 197-22 ln the Downtown Redevelopment Project: and
WHEREAS, the Parklng Law of 1949 (S32500 et ~eq.
of the Callfornia Streets and Highways Code), and
particularly Sectlon 32667 thereof, states that "at any
t~me after the actlvation of a park~ng authority, the
legislatlve body by a two-thirds vote may adopt a
resolution transferring the property of the authority to
the city," prOVlded that such transfer shall not be made
in contravention of any covenant or agreement made w~th
the holders of bonds of the author1ty issued and outStandlng."

SECTION 5. That transfer of sald property by
the Parking Authority does not contravene any agreement or
covenant made with the holders of Parking Authorlty bonds
lssued and outstand~ng.
SECTION 6.
Th~ City Clerk shall certlfy to the
adopt~on of thlS resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and ef~edt._
