A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZI~G TIlE FILI~G
OF A REAPPLICATIO~ WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY
AREA AGENCY ON AGING FOR A NUTRITION PROGRAM
FOR THE ELDERLY UNDER TITLE VII OF THE OLDER
AJffiRICANS ACT OF 1965, AS fu~NDED.
\iHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica has been invited to
submit an application for a nutrition program for the elderly by
the Los Angeles County Area Agency on Aging; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica is eligible to receive
funds under the Older Americans Act for the establishment of a
nutrition program for the elderly.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the City Manager is hereby
authorized to file an application and to execute any contracts
related thereto, on behalf of the City of Santa Monica with the
Los Angeles County Area Agency on Aging for One Hundred Forty
Seven Thousand, Five Hundred Fifty Three ($147,553) Dollars to
be used for a nutrition program for the elderly and located at
three (3) City park sites a~d one site at Calvary Baptist Church,
1502 - 20th Street, Santa Monica.
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
