RESOLUTION NO, SOlO (CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COm~CIL OF
THE CITY OF SM~TA MONICA TO PETITION
THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
FOR AN AJ1ENDED WATER SUPPLY PERMIT
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica operates its water supply
system under a Water Supply Permit issued by the State of California
Department of Health; and,
WHEREAS, said Department of Health requires an application by
resolution of the governing body of the permittee to amend said
permit before alteration of the water supply system; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has authorized and budgeted funding for
additional wells to be added to the system for maximizing local
water production.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAl~TA MONICA
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1. That pursuant and subject to all of the terms,
conditions and provisions of Division 5, Part 1, Chapter 7, Sections
4010 to 4035 of the California Health and Safety Code and all amend-
ments thereto, relating to donestic water supplies, application by
this City be made to the State Department of Health, for a permit to
drill two additional water wells and to equip two existing water wells
not heretofore utilized for water supply purposes.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to cause the necessary data to be prepared, and investig-
ation to be made, in the name of said City to sign and file such
application with the said State Department of Health.

SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter, the same shall be
in full force and effect.
