RESOLUTION NO. 5011(CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE 1970 STORM DRAIN BOND ISSUE PROJECT NO. 7451, U~IT I,
~ND GRANTING THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT
THE RIGHT TO OCCUpy AND USE STREETS IN THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA.
WHEREAS, on June 29,1971, the Los Angeles County Flood Control
Dlstrlct, a body corporate and politic, and the City of Santa Monica, a
Municlpa1 Corporation, entered into Agreement No. 1971 (City Council Series),
a copy of which is on file in the office of the Clty Clerk, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said Agreement No. 1971, the City Engineer of
the City of Santa Monlca has prepared the "Plans and Specifications for the
Construction of Project No. 7451, Santa ~cnica, Unit I, Lines A, G, Q, R, and
S, 1970 Storm Drain Bond Issue, in the City of Santa Monica, California," a
copy of which is attached hereto, and
WHEREAS, on April 14, 1978, Mr. K. W. Kummerfe1d, Division Engineer
of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, requested that the City
Council of the City of Santa Monica approve the attached plans and speciflca-
tions and authorize the Los Angeles County Flood Control Distrlct to proceed
with the constructlon described therein and that the City of Santa Monica
grant permlssion to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District to occupy
and use the public streets of the Clty of Santa Monica to operate and maintain
said storm draln lnstallations upon their completion.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ~10NICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The "Plans and Specifications for the Construction
of Project No. 7451 Santa Monica, Unit I, Lines A, G, Q, R, and S, 1970
Storm Drain Bond Issue, in the City of Santa ~lonica. California," a copy of
which is attached hereto, are approved.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica does
authorize the Los Angeles County Flood Control District to proceed wlth the
construction described in the attached "Specifications for the Construction
of Project No. 7451 Santa r1onica, Unit I, Lines fl., G, Q, R, and S, 1970
Storm Draln Bond Issue, in the City of Santa Monica, California."
SECTION 3. The City of Santa Monica does grant the Los Angeles
County Flood Control District permission to occupy and use the public streets
of the City of Santa Monica to operate and maintain the storm drain instal-
lations described in the "Specifications for the Construction of ProJect
No. 7451 Santa Monica, Unit I, Lines A, G, Q, R, and S, 1970 Storm Drain
Bond Issue, in the Clty of Santa Monica, California."
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
