A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA APPROVING THE BUDGET FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR 197a-1979, AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, the proposed budget for the f~scal year
1978-l979 was submitted to the C~ty Counc~l th~rty-five
(~5> days prior to July 1, 1978: and,
WHEREAS, the C~ty counc~l held a public hearing on
~&id budg~t after a, notice of said hear~ng was published
not less than ten (IO) Qpys prior thereto: and
WHEREAS 'c af-t:er l'>a1d public hearing, the C~ ty
Council cons~dered further 1ts proposed budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF'
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the budget for the fiscal year
1978-l979 as submitted by the City Manager, James D. Williams,
and revised by the City Council which budget is ent~tled
"Annual Budget, City of Santa Mon~ca, Fiscal Year 1978-1979
submitted by James D. W~lliarns, c~ty Manager," a copy of
which budget is attached hereto, be and the same is hereby
approved and adopted: prov~ded, however, that each departmental
budget ~s hereby approved and adopted by the adopt~on of the
total departmental recapitUlations which include amounts for
salar1es and wages, suppl1es and expense and cap~tal outlays.

SECTION 2.
That a cert~fied cOpy of said budget
be filed with the D~rector of Flnance-City Controller and w~th
the City Clerk and cert~f~ed cop~es of sa~d budget be reproduced
and ~de avallable for use as d~rected by Section l50S of the
Char~r ,of said Clty.
SECTION 3.
The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of th1s resolut~on and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be ~n full force and effect.
