A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
APPROVING AME~DMENT NO. 28 TO
THE OPERATING AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ACTING
TP.ROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS
AND RECREATION AND THE CITY OF
SANTA HO~TICA. Al\ID AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ~HE SAME.
WlIEREAS, it is proposed to enter into Amendment No. 28
to the Operating Agreement between the State of California, acting
through the Department of Parks and Recreation and the City of
Santa Monica, and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City of Santa Monica
to approve said Amendment No. 28 prior to approval by the State
of California; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to enter into said Amendment
No. 28 to allow the City of Santa t10nica to administer certain lands
acquired by the State of California for recreational and park
purposes and located within Santa Monica State Beach,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Santa Monica does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Amendment No. 28 to the
Operating Agreement between the State of California, acting
through the Department of Parks and Recreation and the

City of Santa Monica is hereby approved by the City Council
of the City of Santa Monica.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager of the City
of Santa Monica is hereby authorized to execute said Amendment
No. 29 on behalf of the City of Santa Monica.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution, and thepceforth and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
