A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
RATIFYING THE COMPROMISE OF CLAIMS
FOR THE CITY'S PUBLIC LIABILITY
CHECKS ISSUED IN MARCH, 1978.
WHEREAS, on January lO, 1978, the CITY OF SANTA
MONICA entered lnto an agreement, being Contract No. 2440
(CcS) w~th the Brown Brothers AdJusters to adJust; (1)
Llab~llty under the Pub11C L~ab~llty Act of 1923;
(2) Its
l~ab~l~ty for the mun~c~pal bus lines; and (3) lts l~ab~11ty
for ~ts automot~ve fleet exc1ud~ng ~ts munlcipal bus l~nes;
and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to the author~ty conta~ned ~n
the forego~ng contract, the Brown Brothers AdJusters have
effected settlements ~n the amounts shown.

NOW, THEREFORE, the C~ty Council of the City of
Santa Mon~ca does resolve as tollows:
SECTION 1.
That the settlement of claims ln the
amounts heretofore shown ~s hereby ratified.
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the
ad~pt~on of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
