A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
RATIFYING THE COMPROMISE OF CLAIMS
FOR THE CITY'S PUBLIC LIABILITY
CHECKS ISSUED IN APRIL, 1978.
WHEREAS, on January lO, 1978, the CITY OF SANTA
MONICA entered ~nto an agreement, being Contract No. 2440
(CCS) w~th the Brown Brothers Adjusters to adjust; (1)
Liability under the Public L~ab~l~ty Act of 1923; (?) Its
liabi11ty for the mun~c~pal bus l~nes; and (3) Its l~ab~lity
for ~ts automotive fleet exclud~ng ~ts muni~ipal bus l~nes;
and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to the author~ty conta~ned in
the forego1ng contract, the Brown Brothers Adjusters pave
effected settlements in the amounts shown.
