A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
RATIFYING THE cor~ROMISE OF CLAIMS
FOR THE CITY'S PUBLIC LIABILITY
CHECKS ISSUED IN MAY, 1978.
WHEREAS, on January 10, 1978, the CITY OF SANTA
MONICA entered lnto an agreement, being Contract No. 2440
(CCS) with the Brown Brothers Adjusters to adJust~ (1)
Liab~l~ty under the Public L~ability Act~f 19231 (2} Its
liability for the munic~pal bus lines~ and.(3) Its 1iab~lity
for its automotive fleet exclud~ng ~ts muniCIpal bus l~ne~~
and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to the authorfty conta~ned in
the foregoing contract, the Brown Brothers AdJusters have
effected settlements in the amounts shown.

Santa Monica does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the settlement of cla~ms in the
amounts heretofore shown is hereby ratified.
SECTION 2.
The C~ty Clerk shall cert~fy to the
adoption of th~s resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
