A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA AMENDING THE REGULATIONS FOR THE
ADMINISTRATION OF THE CIVIC AUDITORIUM
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE THAT THE REGULATIONS FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE CIVIC
AUDITORIUM SHALL BE AMENDED AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Sect~on 6 (Parking Lot) of Resolut~on
3579 (CCS) be amended as follows:
The C~ty reserves the r~ght to ma~ntaln and operate the Aud~tor~um
park~ng lots located w~thin the area under the superv~s~on and
control of the Director. City may contract w~th a person, or persons,
for the private operation of sa~d parking lots on a flat monthly
basis or on a percentage of gross rece~pts der~ved from all sources
from such operat~on. Available parking space may be rented
at a fee not to exceed one dollar and f~fty cents ($l.50l per auto-
mobile space per per~od of occupancy, not to exceed twelve (12) hours.
The Director may, at his discretion, g~ve free parking to a promotor
of an event held at the Audltorium, the number of such free spaces to
be at the discret~on of the Dlrector. Parking for Aud~tor~um events
shall have precedence over park~ng for the general publ~c, ~nclud1ng
City employees.
Notwithstand~ng any provis~ons here~n conta~ned, City may grant free
use of sa~d park~ng lots to the general publ~c.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of thls resolut~on, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be In full force and effect.
