RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA BONICA
AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION IN RESPONSE TO
THE ARGONNE NATIONAL LABORATORY RFP NO. 78-4299 TO DEVELOP
A COMPREHENSIVE COMMUNITY ENERGY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM ACTION
PLAN.
WHEREAS, the c~ty of Santa Mon~ca is aware of the necessity
to plan for the effect~ve use of energy and the development of
alternate sources of energy; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica des~res to undertake a
certain project designated Comprehens~ve community Energy Management
Program to be funded ~n total from funds made ava~lable by the
Argonne National Laboratory, pursuant to Request For Proposal
No. 78-4299.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l. That the C~ty Council of the City of Santa Monica
possesses legal author~ty to apply for the grant and to execute the
proposed program.
SECTION 2. That the C~ty Counc~l authorizes the filing of
the applicat~on, ~nclud~ng all understandings and assurances conta~ned
there~n.
SECTION 3. That the City Counc~l des~gnate the c~ty Manager
as the author~zed representat~ve of the City of Santa Bonica to act ~n
connection with the applicat~on and to prov~de such add~t~onal
~nformat~on as may be requ~red.
SECTION 4. The C~ty Clerk shall cert~fy to the adopt~on of
th~s resolut~on, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.
