RESOLUTION NO. SOS3(CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA ESTABLISHING
PERMIT FEES DESIGNATED AREAS AND EXEMPT
PERIODS FOR NIGHTTIME PARKING IN BEACH
PARKING LOTS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to section 3201A of the Santa
Monica Municipal Code, the Director of Recreation and Parks
is hereby authorized to issue permits for resident or guest
parking between the hours of 2:00 o'clock a.m. and 6.00 o'clock
a.m. of the next succeeding day, subject to the following
conditions.
a. Permits may be issued quarterly;
b. Permits may be valid for a period of up
to one (1) year;
c. A fee may be charged of up to ten ($10.00)
Dollars per month per permit;
d. Any resident of the City who resides in the
area bounded on the north by the north City limits, on the south
by the south City limits and west of Pacific Coast Highway, Ocean
Avenue or Neilson Way is eligible to apply for either a resident
or guest parking permit for the beach parking lots. Any person who
does not reside within said area shall not be eligible for the
issuance of a resident or guest parking permit.

e. A permit shall not be required to park in
the beach parking lots during grunion running season, as determined
by published schedules, nor at such other times as special events
are held at the Santa Monica Beach from time to time and in
accordance with the direction of the Director of Recreation and
Parks.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
