A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
URGING THE STATE PUBLIC UTILITIES
COMMISSION TO LOCATE A LIQUID
NATURAL GAS TERMINAL AT POINT
CONCEPTION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MpNICA DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The State 'Public U~iliti~s cOmnUssion
~s hereby urged to locate a liqUld natural gas terminal at
Point Concept~on. The City Council recognizes that Cal~fornia
needs addltional supplies of liqu~d natural gas as quickly
as poss~ble; it believes that the development of the Point
Conceptlon site will result in the delivery of needed
supplies of liqu~d natural gas two to s~x years earlier
than other sites and at a substantially lower cost.
SECTION 2.. The C~ty Clerk shall certify to the
adopt~on of this resolut~on, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be ~n full force and effect.
