RESOLUTION NO. 5058(CC5)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
S&~TA MONICA EXTENDING A MEMO~~~DUM OF UNDERSTANDING
ORIGINALLY ADOPTED BY RESOLUTION NO. 4920(CCS)
WHEREAS, the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964, Public Law 88-365, as
amended, requ1res the preparation of a wr1tten memorandum of understand1ng
between the adm1n1stration of the City of Santa Monica(here1nafter called
CITY) and recogn1zed employee organ1zat1ons;
WHEREAS, the CITY approved such a memorandum of understand1ng on September
13, 1977 by adopting Resolut1on No. 4920;
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Labor has informed the CITY that it may
extend the terms and cond1tions of that agreement to a pending federal grant
for f1fteen buses and supportlng equ1pment, upon concurrence of Transpor-
tation Department employee organlzations; and
WHEREAS, the Transportation Department employee organlzatlons have agreed to
extend the terms and conditlons of the previous memorandum of understandlng.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby agree to extend the terms
and condit1ons of the Memorandum of Understanding, dated September 1, 1977
and approved by the Councll on September 13, 1977, to UMTA ProJect CA-03-0l70.
SECTION 2. The Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the adoption of thlS
resolut1on and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be 1n full force
and effect.
