A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
RATIFYING THE COMPROMISE OF CLAIMS
FOR THE CITY'S PUBLIC LIABILITY
CHECKS ISSUED IN JULY, 1978
WHEREAS, on January 10, 1978, the CITY OF SANTA
MONICA entered into an agreement, being Contract No. 2440
(CCS) w~th the Brown Brothers AdJusters to adjust1 (1)
Llabl1ity under the Public Llabil1ty Act of 1923; (2) Its
liabl11ty for the munic~pal bus I1nes; and (3) Its liabil~ty
for its automotlve fleet excluding lts municlpal bus lines;
and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority contained ln
the foregOlng contract, the Brown Brothers Adjusters have
effected settlements in the amounts shown.
