RESOLUTION NO. 4963 (CCS)
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN WEEDS
GROWING UPON CERTAIN LANDS WITHIN
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA TO BE A
PUBLIC NUISANCE.
WHEREAS. there are weeds growing upon the streets.
sidewalks and upon certain lots in the City of Santa Monica.
which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature or attain such a
large growth as to become a fire menace when dry and are otherwise
noxious and dangerous. and
WHEREAS, there are accumulations of rubbish, refuse
and dirt upon certain streets, sidewalks and lots in the City
of Santa Monica,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT all weeds growing upon the streets, sidewalks.
or upon certain lots in the City of Santa Monica, which bear
seeds of a wingy or downy nature or attain such a large growth
as to become a fire menace when dry or which are otherwise
noxious or dangerous are hereby declared to be a public
nuisance, and
THAT all rubbish, refuse and dirt accumulated upon
streets, sidewalks or upon certain lots in the City of Santa
Monica are hereby declared to be a public nuisance.
THAT the names of the streets and descriptions of the
properties in the City of Santa Monica upon which or in front of
which said nuisance exists are as follows:

~orm and in the manner and pursuant to the powers and
authority contained in Sections 39560 through 39586 of the
Government Code of the State o~ California.
The City Clerk shall certi~y to the adoption o~
this resolution, and thence forth and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
