ARESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANT A MONICA AUTHORIZING THE EXCHANGE OF CER-
TAIN REAL PROPERTY, DffiECTING THE CITY MANAGER
TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE SAID
EXCHANGE OF PROPERTIES.
'WHEREAS, the City has initiated eminent domain proceedings for the acquisition
. ----of the old Sorrento property;
WHEREAS, the pre-trial conference date for such litigation has been set fox
July 19, 1972; and
WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the City to acquire the subject
,property without litigation; ,

NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa
ldonica as follows:
.SECTION L The City Council of the City of Santa Monica herewith authorizes
its City Manager to execute any and all documents and to do all
things necessary to effectuate the exchange of the following real
properties:
A. The transfer of title to the old bus yard parking lot between
Lincoln Boulevard and Seventh Street more particularly
identified as Assessor's Parcel Numbers 4290-1-901 and
42.90-1-902 containing 37,735 t square feet to the present
-.owners of the Sorrento Club property; and
b. The acquisition of title by the City to the old Sorrento Club
property more particularly described as Assessor's Parcel .
Numbers 4292-29-900-A 1, 2. and 3 containing 70,000 1:
square feet.
SECTION 2. The Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect.
