RE: Sidewalk Easement-Pico and 34th. St.
Headquarters Facility
Dear Mr. Kennedy:
Reference is made to your letter of July 10th, 1969 to
Mr. Howard E. Varner, President of this company. In your letter
you stated that the City Council at its meeting of July 8th, 1969
approved the issuance of an encroachment permit to allow Host Int-
ernational, Inc. to encroach one foot into 34th Street. You further
stated that said encroachment authorization is contingent upon Host
granting to the City an easement for sidewalk purposes along Pico
Boulevard.
Enclosed herewith is easement deed, dated and executed by the
appropriate .officers of Charlie Brown Restaurants, Inc. on the 26th
day of November 1969, conveying to the City of Santa Monica a one
foot easement for sidewalk purposes as described in that certain
description submitted by your office dated August 18th, 1969 and
approved by Shuirman-Rogoway and Associates,' Consulting Engineers.
Please have the authorized officer of City of Santa Monica
execute the certificate of acceptance at the bottom of the deed and
have said deed recorded. It being understood that the delivery of
this deed satisfies the contingency for the encroachrrient permit as
set forth in your letter of July 10th, 1969.
