Gentlemen:.
ThiS is to advise you that on September 24. 1968 the California
Highway Commission adopted a resolution relinquishing to the City
of Santa Monica a portion of state Road 01-LA-IO-3.9 along a
pedestrian facility between yorkshire Avenue and Dorchester Avenue,
adjacent to the Santa Monica Preeway. . f
We are transmitting herewith three copies of said resolution
togebher with mBpS attached showing that portion of the State
Highway so relinquished.

This resolution was recorded October 1, 1968, 88 Document No. 3355,
Book R3012, pages 240 and 241, in the office of the County Recorder
of Los Angeles County.

CITY OF SANTA MONICA, ROAD 07-LA-IO-3.3 '. I.

WHEREAS, by freeway agreement dated July 11, 1961,

between the City of Santa Monica and the State of California, the
· City agreed to accept title to relocated or reconstructed city
streets, frontage roads and pedestrian facilities upon relinquishment
thereof to said City by the State of California; and
WHEREAS, the State of California has acquired right of
way for and has constructed the above mentioned collateral facilities

. in the City of Santa Monica at Clover field Boulevard, road 07-LA-IO,
in accordance with said agreement; and
WHEREAS, this Commission has found and determined, and
does hereby find and determine, that it is desirable and in the
public interest that said collateral. facilities be relinquished
to the City of Santa Monica for use as city streets; .~

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS VOTED by the California Highway CJ1
Commission that it relinquish, and it does hereby relinquish, to
the City of Santa Monica, effective upon the recordation of a
certified copy hereof with the Recorder of Los Angeles County,

all of the State of California's right, title and interest in and
to said collateral facilities in said city, together with the
right of way and appurtenances thereof, described as follows:

All those portions of altered city streets, frontage
roads and pedestrian facilities shown as Parcel 1 as delineated
and shaded on maps recorded on April 12, 1967 in State Highway
Map Book No.5, pages 59 and 60, Records of Los Angeles County.
EXCEPTING and RESERVING to the State of California any
and all rights of ingress to and egress from the highway hereby
