Wfi~~REAS, the California Highway Commission on
November 7.5, 1956 and October 25, 1960 adopted resolutians
declaring certain sections of State highway, roads 07-LA-10, 1,
to be freeways; and '
WHEREAS, by freeway agreement dated July 11, 1961.,
between the City of Santa Monica and the State of Califoxnia
~nd by the City Cour~cil of the City of Santa Monica Resolutions
No. 2706, dated November 6, 1962, No. 3184, dated November 10,
~ 19~4 and No. 3274, dated May 18, 1965, the city agreed to accept
control ~nd maintenance over each of the relocated or recon-
~ structed pca-rtions of city streets and the frontage roads and
$~de~tria~ facilitiss and to accept title thereto, upon .
'rel.inc~u~.~hm~nt thereof ~ko said aity by the State ot California;
and
WHEREAS, the State of California has acquired righ~t
of way fox and has constzucted said streets, roads and pedestrian
facilit~ies, in:;the City of Santa Monica, between Lincoln ~
Boul~vard and Centinela ~3venue, road 07-LA-ld, and between ~

, T~HEREAS, this Commission has found and determined
and does hereby find and determine, that it is desir~.ble and
in the ~ublic inter~st that said streets, roads and pedestrian
facilities be relinquished to the City of Santa Monica, for use
as city streets;
NpW, THEREFORE. IT IS VOTED by the California Highway
Commission that it relinquish, and it daes hereby zelinquish to
' the City o£ Santa Monica, effective upon the recordation of a
~ certi~ied.copy hereof with the Recorder o~ Los Ange].es County,
