THE GRANTOR, HOLIDAY INNS OF AMERICA, INC., a Corporation, hereby
grants to the CITY OF SANTA MONICA, a Municipal Corporation, an ease-
ment and right of way to construct, lay, install, use, maintain, alter,
add to, repair, replace, inspect and/or remove at any time and from
time to time a sanitary sewer in and under and through that certain
real property in the City of santa Monica, county of Los Angeles.

A ten (10) foot wide easement for sanitary sewer purposes
beginning at a point in the southeasterly line of Colorado
Avenue (80 feet wide) distant northeasterly along said line
157,87 feet from the northeasterly line of Ocean Avenue (100
feet wide): thence southeasterly at right angles with said
southeasterly line a distance of 62 feet more or less, to its
intersection with the northwesterly line of Olympic Boulevard
as described in Final Order of Condemnation, Superior Court
Case No, 378110. State of California, recorded in Book 13179,
page 100, et seq., Official Records of said office, the side
lines to be shortened or extended to terminate in said north-
westerly line;
The Grantee, its contractors, agents and employees shall have free
access to said sanitary ~cwer and every part thereof at all times for
the purpose of exercising the rights herein granted, provided. however,
that in making any excavation on the property of the Grantor, the
Grantee shall make the same in such a manner as will cause the least
injury to the surface of the ground around such excavation, and shall
replace the earth so removed by it and restore the surface of the ground
to as near the same condition as it was prior to such excavation if
possible.
