As you know this office has been engaged
in an effort to acquire the cray-Taylor Apartment
in Ocean Park for the purpose of widening The Speedway
and increasing the beach parking. The matter is
presently set for trial in January.
Our appraisal is $160,000.00. We have
received an offer from the defendants to accept
$176,000.00 in full payment of all claims. For your
information, we have had possession of the property
since approximately the 1st of November and as a
consequence have become liable for interest until
time of judgment. The $176,000.00 includes any such
claims.
It will be noted that $176,000.00 is exactly
ten percent in excess of our appraisal. We have been
advised by our appraiser and we concur in his con-
clusions that $176,000.00 is fair and reasonable for
the property.
It is therefore recommended that we be
authorized to accept said offer and acquire said
property for the full price of ,$l).6, 000.0,0.
