A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING
ACCEPTANCE AND RECORDATION OF FOUR
EASEMENTS FOR UTILITY OR STREET PURPOSES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. In conjunction with the vacation of real properties
located in the City of Santa Monica (lIcity") and more accurately
described below, the city requires property owners to grant
easements in favor of the city to accommodate public utility and
street improvements and to assure access to these improvements
and to prevent any hazards related to these developments.
SECTION 2. Oscar Katz, as Trustee of the Oscar Katz's Trust
and as owner of the subject property, has executed a_grant of
easement to the city for utility purposes over a portion of
Twenty-Fourth street between Santa Monica Boulevard and Santa
Monica Place South, as fully described in the attached Exhibit
"111 and Drawing No. 4403 on file in the Office of the City
Engineer.
SECTION 3. Oscar Katz, as Trustee of the Oscar Katz's Trust
and as --owner of the subj ect property, has executed a grant of
easement to the City for street purposes over a strip of land

adjacent to Cloverfield Boulevard near Santa Monica Boulevard, as
fully described in the attached Exhibit "2" and Drawing No. 4403
on file in the Office of the City Engineer.

f SECTION 4. Sam Stein, as owner of the subject property, has

executed a grant o~ easement to the City for utility purposes
I over a strip of land located 122 feet Northeasterly of Appian Way
between pico Place North and pi co Boulevard, as fully described
in the attached Exhibit "3" and Drawing No. 4411 on file in the
Office of the City Engineer.
SECTION 5. Stephen A. Greene, as owner of the subject
property, has executed a grant of easement to the City for
utility purposes over a portion of Dewey Street between Fourth
Court and Fifth Street, as fully described in the attached
Exhibit "5" and Drawing No. 4413 on file in the Office of the
City Engineer.
SECTION 6. The grant of such easements by the owners of the
subject properties is hereby approved and the City Manager ,is
authorized to accept such easements and record the grant deeds
with the Los Angeles County Recorder's Office.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
